Terms & Conditions
1. About Us
Emma's Lab is a small Swiss handmade business selling plaster painting kits. We operate under Swiss law. Contact: [email protected]
2. Products
All products are handmade in small batches. Each kit includes a pre-cast plaster figure, acrylic paints, a brush, and instructions. Product photos are representative — slight variations in the plaster figure may occur as each piece is handcrafted.
3. Ordering
Orders are placed by submitting a request form on our website. A contract is formed only when we confirm your order by email. We reserve the right to decline any order at our discretion (e.g. if a product is out of stock).
Prices are listed in Swiss Francs (CHF) and are inclusive of applicable VAT where required. We reserve the right to change prices at any time; the price at the time of your confirmed order applies.
4. Payment
Payment details are communicated by email upon order confirmation. We currently accept bank transfer (IBAN) and other methods as agreed. Payment is due before dispatch unless otherwise agreed.
5. Delivery
We deliver within Switzerland. Delivery times are estimated and not guaranteed. Risk passes to the buyer upon handover to the postal carrier. Shipping costs, if any, are communicated at the time of order confirmation.
6. Returns
Swiss law does not provide a statutory right of withdrawal for online purchases. As a voluntary service, we accept returns of unused, unopened products in their original packaging within 14 days of receipt. Returns must be announced by email in advance; return shipping costs and transit risk are borne by the buyer, and the product price (excluding original shipping) is refunded by bank transfer after inspection.
Personalised or made-to-order items, opened kits, lit candles and products showing signs of use are excluded. The full conditions and procedure are set out in our Return Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
7. Defective Goods
If you receive a defective or incorrect item, please contact us within 7 days of receipt at [email protected] with a description and photos; later claims may be refused. We will offer a replacement, a partial or a full refund at our discretion. Natural variations of handmade products are not defects. Your statutory warranty rights remain unaffected. See our Return Policy for details.
8. Limitation of Liability
Our liability is limited to the purchase price of the relevant product. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages. This limitation does not apply in cases of gross negligence or wilful misconduct.
9. Intellectual Property
All content on this website (texts, images, designs) is the property of Emma's Lab and may not be reproduced without prior written consent.
10. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by Swiss law. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Switzerland.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. The version published on our website at the time of your order applies.
